As Edexcel have announced the writing genres for paper 1 as Speech or Leaflet as shown here, I thought I would repost the material from the old examination anthology – Beach Safety. It seems to me that this leaflet which covered 4 pages with a good variety of writing styles and structural features, might be very useful when preparing students for this summer.

It seems that Beach Safety will be a useful model. Speeches are well covered, not least by Adichie in the current anthology.
