After an interesting discussion on #engchatuk last evening and having read a post by David Didau on writing with precision : http://www.learningspy.co.uk/writing/black-space-increasing-lexical-density/ I have prepared this for my KS 4 students.
The idea is to take David’s clarification of a short analytical passage about Julius Caesar and to present the process to the students. I have then added a few phrases which are designed to engage in “zooming in” to key words or phrases…
