A quick plug for my Year 8 class. Set the task of exploring techniques of persuasion in Act 1:2 of Julius Caesar they were brilliant. I think small groups making notes on the tabletop is probably gimmicky- I winced when I first saw it on Twitter, but it works. The class were constantly engaged and working well both together and with a degree of independence that was good to see. Here’s to them, and here are there pictures.
