I love Heaney and am preparing some material to support teaching and learning of his poems. My issue is: where to start?
The introduction screencast is based on SCASI and ensuring that students are happy with the idea of connotation. Elsewhere on the site I have used the same poem in a discussion of unseen poetry for IGCSE. That version is more engaged with textual discussion.
I hope that this introduction will work at most levels as a flipping tool or as a model for class delivery.
