This is intended for my Yr 10s who are working on the Edexcel IGCSE anthology unit B. I have just introduced SOLO taxonomy and was running a session in which the class worked on Frost’s OUT,OUT- with the intention of starting with nothing and ending with relational ideas. The journey from zero to multistructural was relatively painless, though students found establishing links more problematic. In the next lesson, following a homework task to print the hexagon grids and to formalise notes on the poem, we will “finish” our work on the poem and aim for the extended abstract.
It all sounds so easy!
